Readathon Wrap-up

I fell asleep around 6:00 am I think. So, I almost made it to the end. I think I spent more time on the hourly Instagram challenges than I did reading, but I still had fun.

1. How would you assess your reading overall? I didn't read all the books in my stack and I gave into distractions. It wasn't the most I've ever read during a readathon, but overall I think I did OK.
2. Did you have a strategy, and if so, did you stick to it? Not really, just to read as much as possible.
3. What was your favorite snack? My homemade pumpkin bread turned out well.

4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? I've just been giving into all my distractions, which is why I haven't read much so far. Planning on making up for that in the second half!

This past Wednesday I turned 35 and my readathon buddy, my cat Betty, celebrated her 16th birthday last month.

Readathon Wrap-Up

I did it! I stayed up the whole 24 hours, but I was too tired to post my wrap-up at 8:00 am. I fell asleep right away and have been sleeping most of the day. The fire alarm went off in my apartment building at 2:00 am and I was like, "good, now I won't fall asleep!" But I also couldn't concentrate on reading either. My building didn't burn down or anything, there are false alarms all the time, to the point that I'm never worried and if there was actually a fire I could probably die because I would just ignore the alarm.

1. How would you assess your reading overall?

I only read six books and one of them wasn't even on my TBR, but I think 1054 pages is pretty good. I never read that much on an average day.

Not really, just to read as much as possible.

I ordered pizza from Papa John's for the first time and I loved it!

Yeah, I always do.

Ghost World by Daniel Clowes--I thought it was hilarious.

Bury Me Deep by Christopher Pike

2. How many books have you read so far? 

One and a half. I wanted to finish Dollies by Pat Graversen before I started on my TBR and I still had quite a bit left, so that took most of the day. I'm halfway through Bury Me Deep.

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? 

Cheerleaders: The Evil Lives by R.L. Stine. I still haven't read that yet, despite mentioning how much I'm looking forward to it in my previous post.

4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? 

I've been spending a lot of time taking photos for the Instagram challenges and have given into other distractions instead of reading. 

5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?

How little I've read. I'm going to focus more in the second half and hopefully get more books read.

Cheerleaders: The Evil Lives! by R.L. Stine. I've been looking for this book forever and finally found it when I was thrifting a few weeks ago. The Cheerleaders books are my favourite Fear Street books.

I'm obsessed with thrifting and that's how I bought all of the books in my stack. I also work in a thrift store and I get a 50% discount on books.

I want to read the most I ever have during a readathon.
